Company Overview / Who We Are
Sterfield Corporation was founded in August 2007. The company's mission is "to provide Japanese manufacturers and retailers the opportunity to succeed in the world through a cross-border EC cart." We develop and provide "LaunchCart," a transnational EC cart specialized in Asia.
"LaunchCart" is equipped with all of the necessary functions for a cross-border EC, including a centralized sales management system for multiple countries and the ability to support all 160 currencies worldwide. It also covers all of the essential EC functions such as multilingual CMS, product management, customer management, order management, inventory management, warehouse collaboration, and effectiveness measurement. As of now, "LaunchCart" has been introduced to approximately 300 sites.
During our initial years, we were primarily engaged in the contracted development business. In 2011, we launched our EC cart development project and were initially focused on providing our business to the domestic market. When the concept of "cross-border EC" first started formulating in 2015, we took the initiative and supported the three major Chinese payment systems, "UnionPay Card," "Alipay," and "WechatPay." Since then, we have been further developing our cart system for cross-border EC.
In addition to "LaunchCart," we operate "Compe Navi," a portal site for competitions, concours, and contests around the world and serves as a link between Japan and the rest of the world.
In the future, we would like to establish bases in other Asian countries and continue to expand our business to the rest of Asia. We currently have corporations in China and Myanmar, and we plan to expand into Malaysia and other Asian countries to support the EC there.

We use Google Cloud, especially Cloud Run, to build our infrastructure.

All of our engineers work as full cycle developers.

We are implementing "Chaos Engineering" in order to provide a more secure EC system.

Since we are developing and operating the system with a small number of people, we do not have a specified SRE engineer. However, we are introducing this system because we believe it is necessary to improve business agility.
