Company Overview / Who We Are
We are the India branch company of Zenken Corporation, a Japanese company that offers IT solutions and language education, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Zenken India LLP’s main business is to provide Japanese career opportunities to Indian talents by connecting them to Japanese companies.
In recent years, we have seen an acceleration of globalization within Japan, in parallel with shortage of local IT talents. While in India, there is a huge number of students studying to become IT engineers, in stark contrast with Japan. In response to the needs of companies in Japan seeking IT personnel, we provide both “new graduate recruitment” and “mid-career recruitment” support services for talented IT professionals in India.
Recently, we are focusing our recruiting activities on talented students from universities and colleges in India. We have established a Career Center in Bangalore, the first such endeavor by a Japanese company, and have built pipelines with top universities producing excellent IT professionals.

Our vision statement is “Create a future not yet imagined”. We aim to create a society where individuals can achieve their career goals regardless of nationality and cultural background.
Our mission is to connect talents from other parts of the world to Japanese companies that are looking for international talents. Recently, we are collaborating with engineering universities and colleges around India to hold placement events for talented students. The biggest feature of our service is that we do not just provide support on their path to Japan but also to help them to settle into a new country.

Our development team at Zenken India is currently engaged in the creation of three primary systems. Based on your skillset, you can choose to work on the project that best aligns with your expertise. Our compact team of approximately 10 engineers in India & Japan manages all development processes.
1: Yaaay
Service Overview: Yaaay is a job portal that connects companies with individuals seeking career changes... the platform you are using now!
Primary Clients: Japanese companies keen to hire foreign IT engineers.
Target Users: Foreign IT engineers aspiring to join Japanese firms.
Service History: Launched in December 2022 as a mid-career recruitment service. As of December 2023, Yaaay has garnered 38,000 users and is utilized by around 40 companies.
2: Yaaay Freshers
Service Overview: Yaaay Freshers is a recruitment platform bridging companies with fresh graduates from Indian technical universities.
Primary Clients: Japanese companies looking to recruit foreign IT engineers.
Target Users: Graduates from Indian technical universities in IT, aiming to work in Japanese firms.
Service History: Launched in India in 2018. Currently operating on a private platform, we plan to go public next year to accelerate business growth. We're seeking passionate individuals to help grow this service!

Q. What type of engineers work at your company? What is their job content?
Although we are a small team in which our members play a multiple role, we have defined distinct roles to streamline our processes and ensure efficiency. These roles include:
Frontend Engineer & Backend Engineer: Responsible for developing the client-side and server-side aspects of our web applications, respectively. Frontend engineers focus on what users interact with, while backend engineers handle the server, database, and application logic.
UI/UX Developer: This role is dedicated to designing and improving the user interface and experience of our applications, ensuring they are both visually appealing and user-friendly.
QA Engineer: Quality Assurance Engineers are crucial in our team for testing and ensuring that our software meets all quality standards before it is deployed.
Project Manager (Scrum Master): Our Project Managers, also acting as Scrum Masters, oversee the development process, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and align with our goals. They facilitate scrum ceremonies and help the team adhere to agile methodologies.
Product Owner: The Product Owner is key in aligning the development work with user needs and company goals. They prioritize tasks and features, and ensure the team's work continually adds value to the end product.

We are particularly excited about the future integration of generative AI into our platform. This cutting-edge technology is at the core of our strategy to revolutionize how we measure and evaluate language proficiency, especially in Japanese. By leveraging generative AI, we aim to provide a more dynamic and accurate assessment of users' language skills. This feature will be particularly beneficial for foreigners engaged in job hunting in Japan, offering them valuable training and precise language level evaluations.
In addition to this focal development, we remain committed to being receptive to innovative ideas from our team members. We actively seek to incorporate these creative concepts into our development process, ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of technological advancement and user-centric design.
