Questions Frequently Asked at Interviews, Part 2
Continued from Questions Frequently Asked at Interviews Part1
About yourself, your career plan and dream
The interviewer tries to understand the following by asking questions about yourself, your career plan and dream. - How likely you are to work for the company for a long time - Your interest and aptitude for the job - If you have an objective view of yourself - Your reaction to the evaluations and expectations of those around you - Your ambition and desire to improve - Your ability to solve problems and analyze causes Specifically, you might be asked the following questions. “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” “How would you describe your personality?” “How do people around you describe you?” “What are your criteria for choosing a new job?” “What skills do you want to acquire?” “Please tell us about your future career plan” “How long do you plan to stay in Japan?” “Will your parents ask you to come back?” “What are your dreams for the future?”
Do you have any questions?
Usually at the end of the interview, the interviewer will ask you "Do you have any questions?" Be sure to prepare three or four questions in advance. It may seem easy to answer, but if you do not prepare in advance, you will not be able to think of questions on the spur of the moment. The interviewer is trying to determine from your questions how you think, your motivation, intentions, and aptitude for the job. If you ask about what is already written on the website or job posting, you will possibly be judged as not having researched the company in advance. Asking only about detailed employment conditions, such as salary and vacation days, also risks being misunderstood as if you are only interested in the benefits. Ask about the company's vision, corporate culture, and job description.
Good luck with the interview and we wish you all the best!
If you can convey to the interviewer your strong desire to work for the company and how your skills can contribute to them, you can say your interview is a success. Stay calm. Be prepared to express your thoughts in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.
